My Keto Flu Experience: Days 3-4 and BEACH BOUND

Give me some love!

Hi All! We are heading to the beach in just TWO DAYS. I am so looking forward to getting some sun and feeling the sand between my toes. I’m going to try to stick to my keto diet on vacation, but I have to be honest with myself because I want a fruity drink! It seems like I will be completely over my keto flu just in time to head to the beach (and wreck my keto diet… lol) so today, I’m going to talk about days 3-4 of my keto flu experience.

My Keto Flu Experience – Days 3 & 4

By Day 3, I was finally feeling mostly better. However, I did note a few things. First, I still had no energy. I could barely complete my workouts. Also, I still had no appetite. I don’t mean I had a decreased appetite, I mean just the thought of food still kind of made me feel queasy. Lastly, I had a dull, persistent headache.

Day 4 was pretty much the same as day 3, with the only difference being that I I finally felt like eating a little more. My energy was still low and my head still hurt! One weird thing that I did notice was right around bedtime, I had a weird anxiety attack and was unable to sleep. My heart was racing and that is SO uncommon for me. Usually, my head hits the pillow and I’m OUT.

Final Day

Today is the morning of day 5 and though I didn’t sleep very well last night, as mentioned above, I finally feel well. I think it is safe to say that I am completely over the keto flu. I do feel a surprising amount of energy, considering that I didn’t get much sleep last night- which is great because I’m going to need it for my marathon beach packing/shopping session tonight!!!

While it is still really early in the day, I’m hoping I continue to feel this good all day. This is the first day that I haven’t woken up with a headache. My energy levels seem to be more normal, as is my appetite. I know I’m going to wreck my diet in the next ten days while I’m on vacation. I’m sure I’ll gain back every ounce of the twelve pounds I’ve lost. Lol.

Then, we’ll just do it all over again.

Thank you for reading. As always, I hope you have a beautiful and blessed day!
