Baby Chase’s Hundred Acre Nursery
There is one room in my home that brings me more happiness than any other: the nursery. I went to painstaking efforts to ensure everything was exactly how I envisioned it in my mind and my diligence really paid off.
We chose a neutral Winnie the Pooh theme before we even knew the gender. The pregnancy hormones surging through my system gave me crafting powers the likes of which I’ve never had before! (& likely never will again) I feel like the room exudes the perfect amount of whimsy. The nursery has become my happy place. When I’m anxious, I’ll go in there and all of his little things calm me and bring a smile to my face.
The Nursery Reveal
We chose a mini crib because we have a tiny house and every tiny house needs tiny furniture. Good thing we did, too because tiny cribs have tiny price tags and the tiny thing has never been used. Once, Allen and I put him in there just to see what a baby in a crib looks like. *cue screaming*
The rocking chair came from target and it’s my sanctuary. I sit here and read, rock, and nurse every day. The toys came from the Disney store, the curtains from kohls and the mobile from Amazon.
I think this mobile has been discontinued, but you can buy a very similar mobile by clicking HERE.
My Favorite Details
It’s all about the details in this Disney themed nursery!
A lady from church made both the crocheted blanket and the monogrammed burp cloth. Aren’t they sweet?
You can buy the green polka dot Carter’s blanket by clicking HERE.
My sister-in-law and I made the “hunny pots” & I decorated with vintage books from Amazon. The mini plush also came from Amazon. The piggy bank and the “V” were baby shower gifts. You can purchase the Classic Pooh books HERE.
The same church lady gave him these precious seersucker plush toys! They are vintage and amazing in every way! The diaper organizer and hamper came from Amazon. You can order the organizer HERE and the hamper HERE.
Let’s Get Crafty
I’ve NEVER been a very crafty person, but pregnancy seemed to bring out the creativity. I couldn’t find a lot of the details that I wanted to add, so I made them myself!
The pennant banner was made out of cardboard, twine and leftover scrapbook paper! Yes, really. The piggy bank and fabulous dresser were more baby shower gifts. The ultra-whimsy pompom ball bouquet was my favorite touch! I found the honeycomb planter at hobby lobby for $9.99. Allen and I spent over an hour gluing pompom balls to sticks. Our dog had a fit that we took sticks from her yard!!
Hey those are MY sticks!!
Finally, I used scrapbook paper to make huge chipboard letters spelling out his name!
There it is! Baby’s Winnie the Pooh theme nursery! Did you chose a theme? If so, what did you choose?
The man of the hour in his Pooh Bear Outfit!
